Interpretation Overview

As a 24/7 full-service agency we have access to a large number of experienced, qualified Associates, all of whom are native speakers and have the relevant Criminal Record Bureau clearance. We can therefore provide a highly responsive and flexible service to meet specific client needs. Clients often require us to assist with highly confidential legal and medical cases. We therefore assign our interpreters and translators based on a detailed assessment of the personal and technical requirements of the respective task. We are able to provide sign language and other culturally specific requirements on request.

Simultaneous interpretation As the title suggests, this form of interpretation is delivered almost at the same time as the words are spoken. It is often used during conferences and events where there may be others present who speak a multitude of languages. Audience members wear headsets that connect them to translators who are able to provide an immediate translation so that delegates get an accurate account of the speech being delivered.

Consecutive interpretation
This is the most commonly used approach, often adopted in receptions or other social gatherings. It involves the translation of speech at the end of each few short sentences to the intended target group. This may involve taking some shorthand notes, but is frequently done from memory by experienced translators.
